Vfx Overflow is a site where visual effects artists come to ask questions and find answers. There's nothing to pay and you don't have to register. Its built on the same platform as Stack Overflow, so its fast, stable, and great at drawing out the best answers.

It's not a social networking site, a business community, an online portfolio, a news-list, a discussion board, a shop, an auction, a job board, or a place to get your work critiqued. It's just questions and answers, done right.

The site was set up by us, but its run by you. As you build your reputation you will be able to edit (almost) anything, just like a wiki.

We think advertisements are ugly and distracting. That's why there are none. If the cost of running the site stays below $1000 a month (about a million views) then it will stay ad-free.
