How would I convert an image built in microsoft expression design to Adobe Illustrator, photoshop or fireworks while keeping the paths?

I think Inkscape will convert XAML vector art to illustrator and other vector graphics formats. Its cross platform and free.
I assume you are on win, as expression design is win only right?
