My laptop is about 7-8 years old. It ran Maya perfectly. My boy killed my harddrive and my graphics card so both are new. My graphics card is the next gen card compared to my old card. When I work in Maya, tumbling in a window is jerky when I’m only displaying one panel. The whole performance of Maya falls off a cliff. But as soon as I go to 2 or more panels, it’s back to normal. Is this my graphics card or something else? My graphics card used to be GeForce 4200. The replacement is the GeForce 5200. I have all the latest drivers according to Nvidia. Any ideas?
Oh, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 8500 if that matters.
Thanks in advance
