I want to be able to switch Maya 2011 background color back to match previous Maya versions. I'm slowly editing the bgc of each panel and window. But is there a global value being set? Does anyone know if there's one Maya startup mel script that I can edit to change all the bgc colors?

heh sorry, always working and posting hastily so not thinking clearly. these are for linux, to start Maya from a shell, i guess you could edit the .env file in windows/mac to do this too? not sure..

I know Option+B will cycle through some shades of grey. Is that what you mean?
I’ve googled this issue and people are split. Some prefer the low contrast new color scheme. I’m an old dog and don’t like change. But it’s growing on me. Or maybe I don’t feel like chasing down every widget to adjust it’s color. Autodesk really should have made presets.
