I'm running into low memory issues in Maya 2011 and crashing out. I've searched this issue and it seems a lot of peeps are having issues when rendering. But mine is interactive. I wrote a script eons ago that allows me to prune points in a skinCluster via it's normal vs. a joint axis. Imagine right leg points being affected by left leg joints.
In my script, I use a gui with a slider for a threshold value. When I change the threshold value, my points are updated in Maya. Now in Maya 2011, when I use this feature a few times, Maya suddenly tells me that it's running into a low memory issue and crashes. I've crashed 5 times so it's pretty repeatable.
I went back into Maya 2009 to retest my script on the exact same file. And I can change my threshold value ad infinitum. NE1 have any ideas?
