Mental Ray Shadows

Hello everyone

Im normally used to working on a renderman/3ddelight pipeline and the shader writer here is trying to develop a mental ray pipeline for a project, writing own passes, amd uber shader, though stumbling on creating a shadow pass.... Does anyone have an opinion on the best approach for getting a shadow pass out of mental ray?
