Reseller/Manufacturer of Grey and Chrome Spheres For Shootkit For Reference Images?

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend someone who sells/manufactures these.

I've seen (chrome balls at lest) from a variety of supplier ranging from ball bearing manufacturers to garden furniture from Amazon however I want to ensure that I get something with the correct properties, bar being shiny or matte :)

So far I've found the following which appears to be close to what I'm looking for:

For the last shows I used a gray-/mirrorball DIY solution using a garden ball (definitely check before buying. Go in a DIY Center and check them out). The grayball was a little bit more difficult, I preprocessed it myself (using fine sandpaper) and gave it to a professional varnisher to make sure that the paint is really eaven. It works very well and even with professional involvement it's quite cheap.

I have used this guy in the past for chrome spheres. Plenty of various sizes.

I recommend this site a few friends gave to me. Its for a UK reseller, so depending on your location it may or may not work for you.

For a gray ball, you can use any sphere with a smooth and paint-able surface and coat it with 18% gray. Any medium gray tone will work so don't stress over the color too much, just be sure its matte.

Thanks for advise on the grey – most helpful indeed.

I was asking the same thing myself a while back. I never really got a satisfactory answer, but I was told that Ken (at MPC - I don't want to put a full name, but I'm sure you know who I mean) sorted out ordering theirs - I believe it was made to order.

Sorry to everyone else if I'm sounding a little vague - I don't want to give someone else's details away online - I'm sure you (George) could get in touch (email me if you're confused!) with him and let us know on here what you find...
