Has anyone used Syntheyes for tracking any serious production shots?
I'm currently testing the demo version but can't export the tracks...
Would be great to hear your experience, good, bad or ugly

SynthEyes is cheap, fast and flexible. I use it for recovering cameras from footage, if you're doing mocap or something cheeky then that's out of my experience.
I've used it on every show since 2006, most recently on Iron Man 2. If you have particular questions Russ from ssontech is very helpful.
, thanks for the feedback, that’s reassuring. From the tests it seems excellent – and it is amazingly fast. Good to get some positive first hand feedback.. cheers
Syntheyes absolutely AWESOME. Working with it for about a year and the results so far are stellar, especially if you feed it handmade tracks. It's times faster than PFTrack (like: screamin' fast), scene geometry reconstruction is more accurate and it costs very little. We switched from PFT to using Syntheyes on 90 percent of the shots except for the ones where you really need geometry tracking.
